This was AstraZeneca's first Breztri ad that used an animated fantasyland to get real about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) flare-ups. Breztri Aerosphere is a prescription medicine used long term to treat COPD. The commercial begins with an animated character of a man leading the viewer from an ideal animated world with rainbows, unicorns and dancing animals, through a door to the real world.

While animated commercials aren’t that unusual, animated ones that burst into real life are unique. And that's just what AstraZeneca wanted for Breztri, which aims to break through a crowded field. The animation was essentially designed to engage patients with respect to what they believe… there’s this fantasy world where it’s simply about breathing better. The commercial brings these patients from fantasy into the real world with a message saying that you can expect more – and you should expect more from your COPD medication.

I got to work with some of the most successful ‘behind-the-scenes’ talent around. My director was multiple Academy and Emmy Award Winning, Robert Stromberg, who was just divine to work with and a true gem! It is a stunning display of all of our collective talents coming together.
